User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 With options set to send in HTML, instead the message is sent only in plain text. This can be overridden on an individual message with Options | Format, but this is inconvenient and hard to remember. It is maddening to work **** a highly formatted message and then see that all your work was lost when you sent it. The problem does not appear on a computer running Windows 98. With Windows XP it appears in Mozilla 1.3 and 1.4b. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Check "Compose messages in HTML format". 2. Check "Send the message in both plain text and HTML". 3. Edit Message as New an existing HTML message with a GIF file and a table and text in different colors and sizes and using bold, italics, and underlining. 4. Send to self or another. Actual Results: The message in the Sent folder or Inbox folder is in plain text and all the HTML formatting is lost. The Message Source also shows that only the text/plain version was sent. Expected Results: Send the message in plain text and HTML.
Rolf Culver, this appears similar to bug 187064; do you agree it is a duplicate?
Mike, I agree that this is a duplicate with all the bugs you mentioned recently. They should be combined.
