Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030612
when loading the page, mozilla will display it for a split second and the crash
(SIGSEGV). the problem occurs only when javascript is enabled. i tracked down
the problem to the javascript of the ad that is embedded in the page. i have
attached the offending javascript source, opening it in a browser by itself
crashes it. i have also attached a stacktrace. feel free to contact me for
further information or tests.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. make sure javascript is enabled
2. open testcase
3.
Actual Results:
crash
Expected Results:
display wonderful spam.
mozilla exits quietly with Exit 11.
i am using Xvnc 3.3.3r2 as X-Server, see http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc for
information on VNC.
gzipped stacktrace, mime-type was wrong on the first one.

Do you use a xft/gtk2 Build ?
Can you please provide a talkback ID from that crash ?
(run a talkback enabled build, send the TB crash report and open
Mozilla/components/talkback to get the ID)

In the meantime, reassigning to Browser-General. This is not likely
due to a problem in the JavaScript Engine -

the javascript source you've attached appears to be mostly screwed up. Did you
attach the proper file?

The article I see has a flash ad (MCI) at the right side.
Heise is one of the biggest newstickers, and they put ads into the articels only
for some minutes, when they are fresh. was the ad in the article, or is it this
MCI flash ad at the right side?
Maybe your flash plugin isn´t installed or working correctly?
Since heise is changing it´s ads often, is the testcase still valid?
Did you look at it with another browser, i.e. konqueror?
It is indeed my flash plugin, which is causing the trouble. It used to work fine
with previous versions of mozilla, but now it even crashes mozilla on
www.macromedia.com. It depends on the color depth of the X-Server.
