User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 When opening the URL given above, Mozilla asks me what it should do with the file of type "image/jpeg". I have to choose "Open it with /usr/bin/ee" every single time. I have disabled "Always ask when dealing with files of this type" in both this dialog, and in the Prefences/Helper application setting for "image/jpeg". Still, Mozilla ignores this, and insists on asking me every time it sees that file. It seems that opening a file of type "image/jpeg" resets the settings to their default values. This is extremely irritating as I wish Mozilla would just open the file with /usr/bin/ee without any questions. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the URL supplied in this report with Mozilla 1.3.1. 2. Choose "Open this file with /usr/bin/ee" and disable "Always ask before dealing with files of this type". 3. After viewing the file, repeat step 1. Actual Results: Mozilla gave the exact same dialog as in step 2, even though I told it not to. Expected Results: Mozilla should have just opened the file with /usr/bin/ee without asking me anything at all.
The page is explicitly requesting that the file be asked for. The text in the dialog should probably reflect that ("This file is an attachment" vs "We don't know what to do with this file"). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 193698 ***
