When I copied bold text from a newly created webpage (composer) into mozilla
mail, the bold text could not be removed. formatting added then removed while
in mozilla mail does work.

See steps below as example.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. copy some text from ex. http://24.165.112.247/2003ADA/index.html
2. paste into new mail message
3. try to remove bold formatting by buttons or menus

Actual Results:
bold format remains when it should have been un-bolded.

Expected Results:
the bold text should be re-formatted as chosen in the mozilla mail window.
The text at that website is pasted into a span, such as:
  <span style="font-weight: bold;">paste text</span>

Selecting a subset of that and pressing the Bold formatting button puts the
selection into Bold tags:
  <span style="font-weight: bold;">paste <b>text</b></span>
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
From investigating bug 189155, I discover that the original formatting can be
removed with Ctrl-Shift-Y, then new formatting can be added as desired.

It's possible the fix for bug 176709 (on trunk [1.5a] builds since 0701)
addresses this problem.
