Mozilla currently has support for scrolling wheels on mice, but doesn't respond
to forward & backward navigation buttons on a 5-button wheel mouse. MS Internet
Explorer 5.5 recognises these buttons and can navigate forwards or backwards
using these two extra mouse buttons, without having to click on the button in
the toolbar. I've found it a convenient feature and would find it useful if
Mozilla recognised these additional mouse buttons. Note that this functionality
is present without installing special mouse drivers or software.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install a 5-button wheel mouse
2. Use Mozilla to navigate to a couple of pages, via hyperlinks or bookmarks
3. Use the 4th and 5th mouse buttons (back & forward) to try to navigate back
then forwards.
Actual Results:
Nothing happens (Internet Explorer navigates back & forwards as expected).
Expected Results:
Navigate backwards and forwards according to the mouse button clicked.
Operating system is Windows ME (but not sure whether to classify it as Win'98 or
Other as it's technically a wierd concoction of '98 and apparently 2000). Skins
/ themes are irrelevant. Mouse is plugged into a PS/2 port, via a USB-to-PS/2
adapter, Windows seems to handle the rest.
