To fix, boot into Safe Mode, run msconfig and unselect Mozilla QuickLaunch. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. With a Windows 98 computer, install Mozilla build 20030626. 2. It works. 3. Restart your computer, it freezes and won't boot. Actual Results: Computer did not finish booting. Expected Results: Computer should have kept booting all the way. Frozen program (Not Responding) was Msdtcw. I know, it isn't Mozilla, but disabling QuickLaunch fixed it. What _is_ Msdtcw, does anyone know?

Taj, check out the following links to see what Msdctw is - or how it lives on your computer. http://www.computing.net/windows95/wwwboard/forum/15323.html http://forums.techguy.org/t99762/s.html I think this is known problem with this file, not QuickLaunch - I run on my Win98 without this problem

You were right. I had a problem with Msdtcw. I should do more research before I report a bug in mozilla ;-).
