The maximize button is greyed out on a popup window despite having the scripting
controls set to allow it.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/productdetail.jsp?xi=xi&ItemId=1611619758
2. click on MSDS Sheets available
3. try to maximize the popup window
Actual Results:
Unable to use the maximize button, but, oddly enough, am able to manually
re-size the window
Expected Results:
should have been able to maximize

Using WinXP Mozilla 2003062004 and IE, I can't resize or maximize.
How do you figure the controls are set to allow it? It's set to resizable=no.

Well, under Prefs>Advanced>Scripts & Plugins, I have Allow Scripts to: Move and
Resize existing windows UNchecked... which, I'm assuming, means that ANY
scripted attempts to deal with window sizing should be ignored. Seems strange
that Moz will allow me to manually re-size but not use the maximize button.

It's not an existing window. It's a new window.
You shouldn't be able to manually resize though. Changing summary, but it
WorksForMe.
Summary: Maximize button greyed out on a pop-up window → Able to resize pop-up window set to resizable=no

Agreed now that I'm more awake...but I would like the option to manually re-size
both existing & pop-up windows since we're on the topic.

Check out bug 101509 for that.
Also, while you're at it, check out bug 87972. If you can resize the window
there too (in the testcase), then this is a dupe.

Appears to be the same issue... I'm going to mark it as a dupe...but since they
haven't been able to fix this one (and I hate not being able to control windows
on my own computer) can we somehow make an option to ignore script resize
requests? The way I stumbled across this one was that the pop-up was
improperly-sized on my system, so I tried to just maximize the window. When that
failed, I grabbed an edge and manually resized.
