When more than one line break in a row in a paragraph that has white-space: pre
style set appears, only one is displayed.
Steps to reproduce:
Create a document with:
<span style="white-space: pre">A
B</span>
Actual result:
A
B
Desired result:
A
B
Workaround: Put a single space (spacebar) in each empty line.
Happens both with EOL=\n and EOL=\r\n
I didn't find anything to support such behavior in CSS2 specs:
16.6 Whitespace: the 'white-space' property
pre
This value prevents user agents from collapsing sequences of whitespace.
Lines are only broken at newlines in the source, or at occurrences of "\A" in
generated content.
4.1.1 Tokenization
nly the characters "space" (Unicode code 32), "tab" (9), "line feed" (10),
"carriage return" (13), and "form feed" (12) can occur in whitespace.
