with IE, going to
http://www.citibank.com.pr/puertorico/homepage/english/index.htm and clicking on
"access your accounts" in the personal banking area pops up a new window where
you can log in. with mozilla, there is no pop-up and you just get a blank page.

Marc, as a customer can you complain to them and ask them to support Netscape
Gecko-based browsers such as Netscape 7.1, Mozilla, CompuServe 7 and AOL for Mac
OS X?
They have a simple problem confusing Gecko with NN4 and can find help on
devedge.netscape.com or if they want they can contact me directly. Let me know
what they say.

i was just told that no changes are planned to the existing PR CitiDirect online
banking system. it is scheduled to be replaced by a completely different system
in late october or early november. i guess we'll just have to hold tight until
then.

i've been told that the cutover is currently scheduled for 11/7.

the cutover happened, but the user experience still sucks with the default
mozilla setup (ie: popups blocked). the login link is now at
http://www.latam.citibank.com/puertoricous/homepage/english/index.htm
if you whitelist citibank.com in the popup manager, all is well. but most users
are going to have no clue why it just seems to do nothing when you click on the
link to sign on to "Citibank Online personal banking" at the above URL.
i'll bug them some more to see what they say...

progress is SLOW. after much pestering, here is a quote from them:

This is definitely now on the development teams agenda.
There is to be a discussion this week and I hope to have an update for you at
that time.

quote from 4/9 email:

Our development team continues to review this issue, and have even expanded it
to other pop-up blocking applications. The proposed solution is to detect that
the user has pop-up blocker enabled, and alert them to add our site to the to
the list of sites which are allowed to use unsolicited popup windows.

quote from 4/13 email:

The solution for pop-ups is still under review, apparently to ensure that all
the ramifications of pop ups are taken into consideration, so it is not on an
implementation schedule yet.
The technical support team is aware of the work-arounds and will assist clients
to enable Citibank Online until a permanent solutions is created.
The original intent of pop up windows was to prevent the use of back buttons.
The issues requiring this are no longer inherent in the application, but the
design for Citibank Online Puerto Rico has not been changed to reflect this.

cyrille: could you explain comment #11? it's greek to me :(

Explanation about comment #11:
Some volunteers (including me) browsed tech evangelisms bugs in order to test
the impact of the support of document.all in Mozilla. This support has been
considered, I don't know if it will be really implemented. This comment means
that the support of document.all doesn't solve the problem, the site always
displays incorrectly even with document.all supported.

Looks like the site has been totally overhauled again; I now get immediately redirected to
http://www.latam.citibank.com/puertorico/laprco/spanish/index.htm
where I see no popups, no popup-blocked indication, or any way to access a personal banking login.
Marc, sounds like this is FIXED. Do you concur?

Banco Popular took over Citiank PR accounts on 12/1/07. regular users won't end up at citibank.com.pr URL's any more.
