Choosing text from saved input in forms (mainly in Javascript windows) crashes
mozilla. Similar or identical to bug #196883

you need to provide an example or testcase so other people can reproduce the
problem.

the stacktrace shows little because the build is stripped (no symbols). but it
appears to be crashing in layout, which suggests this a browser (not Firebird) bug.

I get this bug fairly frequently myself on a wide variety of pages under Windows 2000. Most recently, just trying to login to Yahoo! (http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?.src=www&.done=http://www.yahoo.com) The drop-down appears (trying to pre-fill my account name) and when selected, Firebird crashes. I get the bug on two different Win2k boxes running Firebird as the default browser (I believe a daily build about 2+ weeks old). I'd say the frequency is ~1 in 30 form fills. I've sent several dumps via the bug reporting tool, but I'm not sure how to reference them from here (they were submitted as [e-mail]). Also, I'm pretty sure I've only seen the crash when I've been browsing with multiple tabs open.

Found out how to reference the Talkback ID's - The 3 ID's for this machine are TB22006345X, TB21789077G, TB21696149E.

This was a longstanding known issue in Firebird (see the release notes!)

Removing dependency and marking as a dupe of 184202

Reporter, please try the latest nightly build for your platform as this was
fixed around 7-13, so your build is a month too early for the fix.  In the
future, please at least try a current build before reporting a bug.
