User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030724 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030724 When creating a new news account there's no text input caret in on the screen where the username and email text boxes are, but Ctrl-V works. On the following screen there still no text caret but now Ctrl-V does not work if you have the news server's hostname in the paste buffer for example. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Copy some text like "news.west.earthlink.net" into the copy buffer. 2. Create new news account in account manager. 3. Note lack of input caret on first page where name and email address are. 4. Try to paste copied news server into the next screen where news server is prompted. No go. Actual Results: the account was created but the UE/UI bugs make it challenging for the average user. Expected Results: Worked correctly, silly rabbit! win32 2003072404 build
[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827] (W98SE) Agreeing, but: 'Caret': This is (now) bug 216627. (Thanks for your report anyway !) 'Ctrl-V': On my W98SE, C-V never works without visible caret case, and allways works with visible caret case. (reporter) Do you confirm that your WXP behaves differently ? *Adding 'Depends on: bug 216627' in the meantime.
