User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 On Mozilla Firebird 0.6 or Mozilla 1.4, when I go to Certificate Manager (using TILO on Firebird), I cannot backup my (own) user certificate. I receive the message "Failed to create the PKCS #12 backup file for unknown reasons" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.On Firebird Tools->More Options->TILO: Certs->Manage certificates, or chrome://pippki/content/certManager.xul. On Mozilla Edit->Preferences->Privacy->Certificates->Certificate Manager 2.Select the certificate to backup 3.Click either on backup or backup all and select file, and passwords. Actual Results: I receive the message "Failed to create the PKCS #12 backup file for unknown reasons" on Firebird, and similar message on Mozilla 1.4(translated to spanish) Expected Results: Export the certificate to a PKCS # 12 file The certificate appears on Certificate Manager, but it's certificate name is on blank. The certificate is valid, generated from FNMT (spanish certification authority. See ceres on www.fnmt.es) The certificate was generated on Mozilla Firebird The certificate is valid, and works. Certificates for other people from the same CA appears with Certificate name on Mozilla Firebird Certificate generated twice (i.e. emited, downloaded, name blank, I cannot export, revoked, emited new certificate, downloaded, check name blank, check cannot export, , copy .db files to mozilla 1.4, check same errors, filled this bug) More details on demand
I've realized that my name it's a bit long(Full name is Gonzalo Iñigo Fernández Victorio Arevalo), and so, certificate name could be too long, and maybe that's the problem that's is causing the certificate name to be blank, and that the certificate cannot be exported. Also, of the two checks written above, the first one was in one computer and the second was in another computer (->two different computers)

I have exactly the same problem using Mozilla 1.3 / Linux Mandrake 9.1. My certificate was provided by TDC - a Danish telecom company and Certifying Authority. This certificate was an Oces certificate. I wonder if this bug has something to do with extended characters in the user name. My name is not long like the one of GFV. However it contains non-ASCII characters too, as my name is: Jesper Mørch.
Same with Mozilla 0.6.1
Oops. I meant, "Same with Mozilla Firebird version 0.6.1"
The same error is present in Netscape 7.1 and Mozilla 1.5 alpha [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030718]
After revoking the certificate, regenerating it with Internet Explorer v6.0, exporting as .pfx, and trying to import it in Mozilla Firebird 0.6.1 (without deleting the revoked one), I get an error. Screen attached.
Also you can see the certificate name blank.
