When copy/paste into the Subject field the same string several times you don't see it is there nor it is reflected on the window caption (unlesss you insert a cursor and bring it to the beginning of the input field). In that case you'll be able to see on the Window Caption how many time you pasted the string but still not in the Subject field. expected : to see all you pasted into the field (it is there when you get a mail, it is a Display problem)

In today's build 1999-12-13-08 M12 you are able to see what you paste into the Subject field but the text on the Window caption is still a probelm. We might need to change the summary of a bug.
Summary: Display problem:copy/paste is not reflected in the Subject field → Composer Window: Title display is not updated
The copy/paste problem reported before is now gone. The current remaining problem is that the Composer Window title is not refreshed even when the input in the subject field is completed and the cursor moved to another field. The title update should happen as the characters are input. One workaround we have now is inser the cursor to the end of the input string in the Subject field and then use the left arrow key to move the cursor over at least one space to the left. This triggers the title display.

this is not M12, it's now just a problem with displaying the title of the window. reassiging to phil since I don't think this is an editor-related problem. phil, if this is something to do with the editor, like you're not getting the right notifications on content change, let me know. Clearing milestone.
