Sometimes not. I've tried to track all variables in this trouble, but I was unable to. The problem is more likely to happen when I use tabs, but this seems not a prerequisite for its occurrence. It bothers me especially when I'd like to drag an URL to the tab bar to open a new tab. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load an URL 2. select a portion of text 3. Try to drag selected text
I have never encountered this bug. So an can't confrim this bug.
I've never been able to drag text from a browser window to either the desktop or a folder using .7 or any nightly i've used since, on any version of the OS.
I've just had a look at the text dragging behaviour in the 2003090602 NB. As far as I can tell, the problem is that if you hold down the mouse button for too long before starting to drag, the selected text is not dragged. If you move the mouse immediately upon pressing the button, the text is dragged as expected.

I don't fully understand the last WFM comment as I would expect a context menu to have popped up well before 30 secs ... Is this a Netscape Product problem?
Confirming bug presence as per comment #3 in Camino 0.8.1 (latest release to date). Ben, Click&Hold has been disabled in Camino for some time now. See bug 235794
Dup of 183112? Slightly different manefestation, but both are basically mouse drag not working after holding the button for too long
