when trying to SSL to the SMTP imailhost.worldnet.att.net server it is refused.
same bug in Thunderbird as well and I've previously reported that as well.

Can you please create a SMTP log and if possible a packet trace ?

This from someone on the AT&T side:

If I had to guess as this was an issue with Eudora prior to it being
addressed, it would have something to do with only implementing TLS for
SSL, or an improper implementation.
