I've tried to update my mozilla from 1.3 to 1.4 but it still does the same thing... It used to work properly up to last week... If I try to type dirctly the address on the location toolbar it goes to the proper page. Please uninstall Mozilla, remove any Mozilla and mozilla.org directories from your program files and common files directories. Install Mozilla 1.6 or newer and see how that works for you. If you still see the problem, type about:config in the urlbar and hit enter. Then begin typing browser.startup.homepage in the filter field of about:config until it drills down to that preference. See what's set there. You can right-click on the item and change its value right there. See if that works. If it doesn't then reopen this bug and attach your prefs.js file to this bug.
