Expected Results: detected sound server, route plugin audio etc trough it instead of something that blocks audio to every other program.. (I need to have other programs using sound at the same time!

Is this still happening with a current nightly build from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firebird/nightly/latest-trunk and a fresh profile?

I haven't checked recently... I'm running todays nightly, but from the command: artsdsp /home/aaron/work/firebird/MozillaFirebird/MozillaFirebird All that is needed to test it is run artsd in one term (or have another program using the sound) Note: I also have the java plugin and Flash plugin and mplayer-plug-in So this could be something to do with the initialization of the plugins I'm gonna restart my browser without the artsdsp command and see what happens, if the behavior is the same (plugins don't have sound and it takes a while to load I won't post any more, but if it works quickly I'll post again.. note: I think mplayer plug-in 1.2 detects artsd, or at least uses my mplayer config. I'm using gentoo ~x86 and copy the plugins to my home dir's Mozilla Firebird plugins dir
