Imap-protocol works fine. pop-protocol with other mail-programs(The bat!, outlook express, outlook) works fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create several accounts, looking if this depends on the server 2. reinstall mozilla 1.4, 1.3.1, 1.5alpha, always delete the profile 3. install thunderbird 0.1 Actual Results: reproduce the bug in every installed version of mozilla (1.3.1;1.4;1.5alpha) and of thunderbird Expected Results: whether fix it, if it is a bug or suggest something to resolve the problem the computer works in a network with no own firewall but behind a router from smc (smc7004fw). with every other mail-program the pop-protocol works fine.
Do you have something in the socks field in the manual proxy prefs ? Have you tried a new profile ? Do you use a firewall on your system itself ? Can you create a mail log : http://www.mozilla.org/quality/mailnews/mail-troubleshoot.html
Hi matti, i do not edit the prefs in any way. just a new virgin installation. i tried to delete the profile, i tried varios accounts from varios providers. in fact i have my own mail-server running cyrus and postfix under linux. the pc itself has no firewall, it's in the router (smc7004fw). i try to create some logs. is it possible that there is something in the registery from previous installations working against current installation?
