RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 16499

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030718
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030718

when I send something using a list, with BCC, it gives error because it appears
"undisclosed recipient". If I wipe out it, every address with BCC will be sent.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Expected Results:
I want to sent every entry of a list as BCC:. I don't one to have at least one
as TO:.
If I'm not completely mistaken, this isn't supposed to work.
What I mean is, that the RFC's doesn't allow for only setting BCC.

IIRC :)
See bug 190192 comment 2 (which dupes to bug 16499), specifically that "it might
cause problems with some mail servers." Just add yourself or user@domain.invalid
as the To: and then all the BCCs should send without trouble. Also see bug
180901 for a hidden pref relating to this.

Marking as duplicate, but this is really wontfix since the observed behavior is
a workaround for a bug in a separate program (sendmail).
