the nice little chromy bits, under the buttons, seems to be displaying not the
normal grey background, but instead an area of memory...
That can't be good.

This is a well-known bug.

Is this a dup of bug 20496? It's not clear what build the reporter was using.

Resolution: --- → DUPLICATE
The screenshot posted in bug 20496 exhibits the exact problem I see; it gets its
colors from the webpage currently being visited. If one views a fairly colorful
webpage, the toolbar takes on some very interesting colors, but mostly it stays
black and white, from the text on the web page.
