I'm attaching a file that displays this:
1) open attached file above.
2) type a string of characters in the input field (about 5 or 6)
3) click the "click to hide" button. (this sets the css attribute visibility:hidden)
4) carefully click in the _same area_ as where the text field "was" and start typing again. Suddenly all the text starts showing up again.
5) click the "click to show" to verify that it's still there with the text you just typed.

I am going to add an attachment which is an html file (based on the previous xul
test case).  This attachment will also exhibit problems such as a blinking
caret.  Hopefully fixing the html case will also fix the xul case.

I think this has been fixed recently; I can't reproduce the problem with my
example any more.
