User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 After installing Firebird on Win XP: When it first starts it tries to open mozilla.org and then stops responding. I also tried opening a dial-up connection before starting Firebird, but then got the same problem. I have Firebird loaded on a similar computer at home that has a direct DSL connection and it worked fine out of the box. A similar problem occurred with Mozilla, but it gave an error and allowed me to open "preferences". After setting the proxy address, Mozilla worked fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Firebird 2. 3. Actual Results: The status bar showed "resolving mozilla.org" and then it stopped responding. Expected Results: Loaded the web page or give an error and allowed me to open "preferences" I don't get any error message until I shut it down with Task Manager.
if you are using 0.6.1, there is a known bug where firebird tries to import IE favorite and freezes. A temporary workaround is to rename your favorite folder, or find the favorite that causes trouble, according to some reports it can be a favorite that's pointing to a file on local computer.
duping against 205129, please reopen if upgrading to a current nightly does not resolve your issue *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 205129 ***
