User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030727 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030727 Four times today, the browser froze while various stories from the ecommercetimes web site were loaded. The last 3 times were when I was trying to work out what had crashed, and the browser was not doing anything else. From the status line the last time, it appears that the browser was contacting altfarm.mediaplex.com when it stopped even repainting the window, and its CPU usage shot up. It doesn't happen every time; I have to guess that it's one or more ads being served from altfarm.mediaplex.com that are causing the problem. I had JavaScript completely off the last time I tested it. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Mozilla. 2. Go to the web page linked. (I've had this problem on two of their stories today; this was one of them.) 3. Wait for the page to finish loading. Actual Results: Mozilla froze. It no longer responded to any activity, including window exposure (i.e. it didn't redraw its windows anymore). It's interesting to note that it _was_ properly drawing the page up until it froze. Expected Results: Continued running and responding to user input.
ti's possible the site works in a current build, but it's still a dup *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 218684 ***
