What a great advert this is . . . for Norton Anti-Virus!
I received a reply that directed me to their online customer support. They were completely useless. ->future

setting OS and hardware to all, since I have confirmed this bug in build 20031022 on Mac OS X. I have also reproduced this bug on Safari 1.0. Safari also locks me out of the site. I have filed a bug with Apple on this. MSIE 5.2.3 lets me in and greets me with a pop under telling me to secure my IE...weird. To the person who wrote comment #3, stop spamming this bug!

Using USer Agent Switcher located here http://chrispederick.myacen.com/work/firebird/useragentswitcher/ and setting Firebird as "IE6" everything works well, so I think there isn't a workaround cause this is not a real Mozilla bug.
Of course is not a Mozilla bug: its a problem with McAfee. That's why it is coded evangelism. Also, its not just Firebird. I, for example, am using Moz 1.5.
It seems that mcaffee is using a better JS browser sniffing. It is based on : Browser Detect v2.1.6 documentation: http://www.dithered.com/javascript/browser_detect/index.html license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/1.0/ code by Chris Nott (chris[at]dithered[dot]com) Closing bug as fixed ?
(In reply to comment #0) > When a user goes to http://us.mcafee.com/default.asp and clicks Add to Cart for > any McAfee product, the user is redirected to a page which says: On all sites like http://download.mcafee.com/us/eval/evaluate2.asp where you can use "Add to cart" you get the error page http://us.mcafee.com/root/genericURL.asp?genericURL=/common/en-us/html_files/nonIE.asp. So still not working.

Is this still an issue ?
(In reply to comment #13) > Is this still an issue ? Well, with Firefox 3.5.7 under Linux I can go to products, click a product, add to cart, shut up popup, and no problems. Namoroka is not so lucky, and gets a "Please note that Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher) or Firefox 1.5 (or higher) or Chrome is required to purchase and install McAfee products." So while there is clearly still some user agent sniffing shenanigans going on here, the original bug (document.all JS) has apparently since been dealt with. WFM.
