User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20030929
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20030929
See the pic in the URL. The separator between the message listing and preview
pane doesn't stay where I left it if I close and re-open mailnews/all of
mozilla. I reproduced this on 0927 build and 0929. I deleted my
localstore.rdf, but that did not help.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open mailnews
2. Drag the divider lower so you can see more messages
3. quit and reopen mailnews
Actual Results:
divider is back up at top
Expected Results:
left the divider where I put it

I created a new profile, and quit then restarted Mozilla. It did not help.

It appears to have memory - just a bad one. If I make the message list a given
height, when I relaunch mailnews, it's a percentage of that height
(approximately?)... if I make it almost the whole screen, I get about 7 messages
at once. If I make it 7 messages tall, I get 2, and if I make it 2, I get less
than 1.
It stays at the shrunken size until I change it, so I can work around it by just
setting it to the whole screen once, then leaving it at the position it moves to
the next launch.

Confirming. I reproduced this bug with different builds on Linux and Windows.
I can only reproduce it with the MailNews window layout which shows the account
pane from the top to the bottom of the window. The other MailNews window layout
works as expected.
This regressed between September 17th and September 22nd, so the 1.5-branch
doesn't have this bug.
Changing the summary a bit (the thing is called "splitter" ;-) ).

Well, this is the least complicated way of doing it...
