Using build 1999121708 on NT. Steps: 1) open Seamonkey. 2) First window is all sidebar with no visible grippy to close it. It seems that the sidebar is wider than the whole screen. 3) If you open a new Navigator window, the sidebar appears properly. 4) Disabling and reenabling the sidebar using view menu command results in same state.
hmmm, does this happen every time you start-up?
yup
that sucks :-) try renaming your localstore.rdf and re-starting, por favor

Still happening? Several people have complained of this. Would you mail me your localstore.rdf if you are having the problem (before you remove it as Paul suggests)?
Renaming localstore.rdf solved the problem. Do you still want my old file?
please attach it to this bug report, thanks

I am guessing this was caused by 23857, "Clicking on splitter to close sidebar makes it size to infinity (and beyond)." *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 23857 ***
