User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031004
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031004

When typing in, say, http://www.mozilla.org in the location bar in 2003100404
the location bar displays the entries twice on the same line (link title
link title)

I'm using a 19" sharp flat panel at 1280x1024

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In browser enter a previously visited URL in location bar so that the
dropdown list will appear
2.
3.

Actual Results:
See attached image

Expected Results:
Should not have repeated text on each line
1st line on the attachment is the URL in the Location Bar: http://mozilla.org/start
2nd line on the attachment (marked selected) is the same URL, but that is the
first line of the Location Bar history list.
If you hit Enter, the selected line of the history list gets loaded, and thats
fine, because that is also the line you typed into the Location Bar.
If this first line wouldn´t be there, another line would be there, marked
selected, and you would need to close the history, before hitting Enter.
I´m glad if I get a history this way, it is more annoying, if I delete part of
the URL, and it get´s restored by Type Ahead, and somehow I delete it again and
hit Enter before it gets restored again.
That's not the point. Notice that on the "second line" as you call it, the same
text is repeated twice ON THE SAME LINE. Same thing on the third and forth lines.
Please retest with tomorrow's build, since it's likely that this was caused by
bug 221186
Depends on: 221186
re comment #3: Sorry, I had only a quick look at the bmp using a 800x600
resolution and I hate horizontal scrolling, seeing it now.

Can you retest with a newer build, build ID 2003100711 is now available:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest-trunk/
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031007
Works now
