Using mozilla nightly build 1999121915 on NT 4.0 with SP 5... When I create a new profile and click on the search button in the location bar to open search for the first time, I am prompted with a dialog that says that i must choose at least one search engine. I click "ok", but don't click on any search engines. When I try to close the window, the contents of the window go blank but the window does not close. I can switch to the browser window and get away with a click here or a typing action there, but before long the whole thing will crash.

This looks like a problem that was valid but has been passed by. It appears that this bug is no longer reproducible, in at least two ways: 1. Typing a search string into the Location Bar and then clicking on the [Search] button on the right results in search results appearing in the browser immediately, with no dialogs appearing. 2. When the Search Dialog is brought up, by using the Search>Search the Internet menu item, the interface gives choices for what to search on integrated into the main dialog. This looks like something that was transitory while development continues: neither the Search menu (bug 4464) nor the [Search] button (bug 11870) appear to be completely implemented yet. Tested (after removing mozregistry.dat and creating a fresh profile) with: 2000-01-05-08-M13 nightly binary on Windows NT 4.0sp3 ----- This bug looks like another victim of the problems reported in bug 20092, "bugzilla form checking not robust enough". Changing Product from "Architecture" to "Browser" and Component to "XPApps". This should probably be marked WORKSFORME, if I haven't missed anything...

This looks like bug # 23493 to me... locks up the Mac when closing the dialog. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 23493 ***
