User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7 I have the SkyPilot and BlueMonkey themes installed, and both function normally under usual circumstances. When switching from SkyPilot to BlueMonkey in options menu (or to Mozilla default), the toolbar with back, forward, home, etc., and the address bar are replicated on the same row twice. When changing from any other theme to SkyPilot, the theme does not change upon exiting options menu. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download and install Firebird 0.7 2. Install using the .jar extensiosn from Mozilla Firebird Help (texturizer website) the BlueMonkey and SkyPilot themes 3. Try switching between those two themes and the default. Actual Results: Toolbar rendered improperly and all webpages in tabs needed to be reloaded (displayed nothing). Expected Results: Toolbar should only render once, and change should occur every time options menu is exited. Occurs for theme switching from SkyPilot to BlueMonkey and back again.

Nate, do you still see this bug with a current nightly build from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firebird/nightly/latest-trunk and a fresh profile?
*** Bug 237555 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
also observed on windows 2000
*** Bug 235100 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I can reproduce this on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040410 Firefox/0.8.0+ However, I think this might be a problem with the SkyPilot theme. I installed about 12 themes that have been updated since the release of the 0.8 milestone. I can swap between any theme with out issue; as long as I don't choose SkyPilot. I tried this over many sessions and swapped between themes other than SkyPilot as many as 40 times with out issue. As soon as SkyPilot is introduced I start to get repetitions of the Navigation toolbar, the number of repetitions seems to be related to the number of times the theme has been switched that session. I also noticed that if you start with a theme other than SkyPilot and switch themes about 10 times then choose SkyPilot then Firefox will not display the Navigation toolbar. I am going to email the SkyPilot theme designer to see if they have an idea what could be causing the issue.
I sent the following message to the SkyPilot theme creator. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kevin Brosnan To: sailfish@unforgettable.com Sent: Saturday, April 10, 2004 11:33 PM Subject: SkyPilot theme issues I believe that I have found an issue with the SkyPilot theme on Firefox. When switching between SkyPilot and other themes the Navigation toolbar is duplicated, this is shown in the following link http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=143564&action=view This has been filed as a Firefox bug in bugzilla and I was hoping that you could shed some light on the subject. The bug is http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=222575 Kevin Brosnan ***** Here is his response to the message. The Sky Pilot Classic theme makes some binding changes to the primary toolbar; specifically, it add two elements to it in order to display the "endcaps" on the toolbar (the [ and ] end look.) The problem you're referring to is caused by the way Firefox dynamically builds its primary toolbar (as part of the "Customize" feature), as near as I've been able to determine. The only workaround that I know of is to restart the browser after a theme change. -- Best Regards, Pat "Surfin' the Net...grappling with the 3rd Wave" Got a message? Not sure if this is something we're even going to try to support, but it does sound like a bug. Setting status to New for now, though this may end up as a wontfix.

I'm not sure what browser changes may have affected this but I'm not seeing this button juxtapositioning in the trunk (and haven't for awhile?) Ref: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040516 Firefox/0.8.0+ 20040516
Still present in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040518 Firefox/0.8.0+
Quite similar bug happens while switching to Qute theme. I've no SkyPilot installed. To reproduce: install Qute theme, then tools -> themes, switch to Qute, the Navigation toolbars doubles its contents. then if you switch to other thems it doubles the items again. All the opened tabs became "untitled" and blank (you loose all the pages you were browsing in that moment). They don't even close so you have to close the whole browser program. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9
I experianced this when switching from the Default theme to FirefoxModern 0.7.1 and back. The toolbar is replicated once for each switch. I have no Qute or Skypilot installed. When I attempt to remove the extra buttons with "Customize..", all the menu items and dialogs become inactive until browser restart. After restarting, I restored the default toolbar, but this too renders all menus inactive. It appears that Firefox isn't re-activating the menus after disabling them temporarily when the "Customize.." pane is open.
