User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031016 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031016 In Windows 2000 when there are some tabs open in the browser, the tab closes if you middle-click it with the mouse. In Linux it does not, instead it starts searching something (from the clipboard?). Note: Middle-click on a link works ok (opens a new tab). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031017 I don´t see this on Win98, middle click does nothing to this tab. Tested with all combinations of preferences: Tabbed browsing: middle click opens: on/off Advanced->mousewheel: uses system default on/off Maybe it´s your mousedriver?
On Linux, a middle-paste on a window will try to load PRIMARY as a URL. Not sure how this should interact with the tabbar, but the conflict has been mentioned before...
