_long_ favorites list is truncated

Details
My "favorites" list is longer than the screen is tall. In IE, I am presented w/
a wee down arrow which allows me to scroll it. M12 however seems to just crop
the list to the available screen size leaving me no way to access some of my
favorites.
Seemingly related: there is a lot of flicker in the "imported IE favorites"
(sub)menu as I mouse around in it.
