When clicking on a httP web address link in an e-mail in Mozilla Thunderbird 0.2
(20030901) [Mozilla 1.4a {Build ID 2003040105} is set as system default browser]
Mozilla.exe Entry point not found error, pops up with the folowing :-
The procedure entry point ??_7NS_LossyConvertUFT16toASCII@@6B could not be
located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll
Click OK
Mozilla splash screen
Click Ok

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on web address in e-mail [Thunderbird]
2.Mozilla.exe Entry point not found error pops up with the folowing :-
The procedure entry point ??_7NS_LossyConvertUFT16toASCII@@6B could not be
located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll
3. Does not occure if Mozilla already open
Actual Results:
Mozilla fails to open, have to open it manualy and copy and past http address in
address bar
Expected Results:
Open and go to web address
I have ...
xpcom.dll Version 1.5.20030.17584 in thunderbird directory
xpcom.dll Version 1.0.0.0 in program files/netscape/natscape directory
xpcom.dll Version 1.4.20030.40105 in program files/common files
mozilla.org/gre/1.4a_2003040105 direcory
The error does not occure if the web browser is already open.

Try a younger build, at least 1.4.1 or 1.5 final ! Your is more than 6 months old...

These errors pop up due to obsolete components (often 3rd party extensions).
This is particularly true in alphas where lots of change has happened, and where
less thought is given to cleanup in the install. Always install into a fresh
directory, or stick to final release versions.
