I don't like this, but the release notes covered this problem. See this copy of an news message I sent for info: Hmm, I have msvcrt.dll - 6.00.8397.0 and msvcirt.dll - 6.00.8168.0 I filed a bug 22362 yesterday on a crash and msvcrt.dll was involved. Does this mean that newer version could be a problem? Wow. I personally have always held the opinion that only Microsoft should changed files in the System directory. Microsoft must agree since Windows 2000 will protect that directory more effectively.
