User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031015 Firebird/0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031015 Firebird/0.7 if a webpage contains a line of text with a ", the whole line won't be shown. You can see also a bizarre behaviour when trying to select the text of the line (or a few lines including the one with the ") with the mouse. The problem is there since at least version 0.6, but it seemed too obvious for me to report it; since in version 0.7 it's still there, well... I'm using a Mandrake 9.1 distro, with stock KDE. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Choose a webpage containing a " in the text 2. When you see a line w/o text, try hilighting it with the mouse 3. if you see some text appearing, bingo! Expected Results: show every line of the webpage :-) I've got a few snapshots showing the problem; 4-5 PNG's, 100+kb each. I'm not attaching them since the behaviour can easily be reproduced (at least, on my machines; they both use Mandrake 9.1)
This WFM Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031024 Firebird/0.7+ Comment regarding link was: look at the blank line after 'But the real question is whether ' Please don't put comments in the URL field, it makes the link very hard to follow. What does the hidden line say on your computer? I can see: But the real question is whether it's the software or the hardware at fault – so we guess LG has to battle it out with the software vendors. And I can't find any hidden text around it.
I'm not seeing this either on a 2003-10-30 WinXP build. I haven't seen any other bugreport like it and bugzilla would be swamped with bugreports if such an obvious bug would happen. Probably a bad profile or a hosed Mandrake install. -> WORKSFORME.
