Did you have a system/application crash before? If so, IMHO this is a dupe of Bug 193749 "bookmarks and personal preferences are lost after system crash due to power failure". Otherwise it could be Bug 164244 "Bookmarks become intermittently corrupted, revert to the defaults".
Oh, I found this: Perhaps it is a dupe of Bug 221037. See also bug 221037 comment 18.
Mike, can you still reproduce this with a current build?
without specific steps to reproduce, this is of no value over the existing bookmarks dataloss bug reports.
