User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031110 Camino/0.7+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031110 Camino/0.7+ While printing seems to work fine in the latest nightlies, there seems to be a problem with Panther's fax feature. Sending a fax works fine when you type the fax number manually, but it is not possible to select a fax number from the OS X address book (see the description below). The problem is not limited to Camino, however -- I can reproduce it in TeXShop as well, but not in any other app I have tried. I have no problems with normal printing, printing to PDF or preview in the print dialogue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select the Print... command 2. Click the "Fax..." button 3. Click the "Address book" button in the top right corner Actual Results: The address book list appears *behind* the fax dialogue and cannot be accessed. (You can select the "Cancel" button to close the fax dialogue at this point.) Expected Results: The address book list should appear in front of the fax dialogue and it should be possible to selct fax numbers and return to the fax dialogue. Ever confirmed: true
Several people in the MacOS X LaTeX discussion list <http://www.esm.psu.edu/mac-tex/> have confirmed the problem for TeXShop.

this is not an 0.9 showstopper
Target Milestone: Camino0.9 → Camino1.0
Is there an "easy" way to reproduce this on Tiger?
This plays out differently for me in 10.3.9. The AB panel appears to the left of and above the Print/Fax dialogue but never really gets focus/activated. Anything I type (the search field of the panel has a focus ring) shows up in the focused field of the Print/Fax dialogue, and trying to click buttons or select things in the panel just causes beeps. Stickies behaves the same way, but it works in TextEdit; Stickies (like Camino) uses a Print dialogue; TextEdit use a print *sheet*. Er, that's not it. Eudora uses a dialogue and works, too.
sounds like this is an interaction with the carbon print code vs the cocoa print code.
Target Milestone: Camino1.0 → Camino1.1
This doesn't caused a locked state issue (you can click back to the print dialogue and cancel)--and stuff I "type" in the AB panel search field no longer ends up in the print dialogue--but the feature still does not work as designed. Removing from the locked state tracker.
