A large section of this site's navigation area flickers continually on loading.
 This does not happen in IE.

I don't know if this is a gecko error or evangleism.

Screwy, man. Confirming on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031111 Firebird/0.7+ and Moz 2003102504. 

It also takes up a lot of resources.

There's Javascript that seems to try to make some text move horizontally, but
for some reason it's just jiggling the other text.
