User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-AT; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031107 Debian/1.5-3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-AT; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031107 Debian/1.5-3 jdk 1.4.2_02 installed, includes webstart at jre/javaws environment variable JAVAWS set to that directory Helper Application # MIME Type = application/x-java-jnlp-file # Extension = jnlp # Open with = $JAVAWS_HOME/javaws Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open any example URL or 2. open the downloaded .jnlp file 3. Actual Results: <URL> could not be opened, because an unknown error occured Sorry about that. Try saving to disk and then opening the file. Expected Results: The application should launch as it does when I start it with the Java Webstart Application Manager Starting the URL from the Java Webstart Application Manager works fine.
> # Open with = $JAVAWS_HOME/javaws This does not work in Mozilla, and is not likely to start if you're setting that in the Mozilla preferences. You have to use an actual absolute path. It will start to work for mailcap entries at some point, but does not yet. Marking dependent on the bug on that.
Depends on: 83305
>You have to use an actual absolute path. well, just specifying the name of the application also works ($PATH will be searched for it, then) but yeah, environment variables in there don't work

Marking wontfix, though, since we have no plans to make this work.
