Details

I have a custom keyword bookmark 'v', which validates a URL string at w3c. I'm almost positive it worked fine before on full URL strings, but now I recieve an error passing in e.g. "http://mozilla.org/" without the quotes. A little testing and I figured out that any string with a / at the end gives a invalid URL error. I suspect Firebird isn't escaping a final / properly. Note other /'s in the string work fine, so I can "v http://jmd.us/contact-me" fine, and the w3c's validator will follow the redirect to /contact-me/, but if I specify it like that to the keyword: Invalid Address Error The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded. With error pages on, the resolved address is: chrome://global/content/netError.xhtml?e=malformedURI&u=v%20http%3A//jmd.us/contact-me/&d=The%20URL%20is%20not%20valid%20and%20cannot%20be%20loaded. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031111 Firebird/0.7+
When did this regress? Is it a escape/unescape issue?
this is a dup of 218447. there is a patch there, it should resolve your issue.
