User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031122 Firebird/0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031122 Firebird/0.7 When opening a link on derstandard.at MozillaFirebird (sometimes mozilla too) often closes whithout any comment. I use the net-www/mozilla-firebird source ebuild for Gentoo. I noticed this issue on another Gentoo box too (althougt very different hardware). Maybe this bug is related to 166807. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. start MozillaFirebird 2. go to derstandard.at 3. click around like "Web" then "Chronologie" like I always do ;o) Actual Results: MozillaFirebird disappears immediately Expected Results: show me that page * These are two system log messages I took out which are related to this issue: Nov 23 14:21:38 [kernel] grsec: signal 11 sent to (MozillaFirebird:14314) UID(1003) EUID(1003), parent (run-mozilla.sh:8342) UID(1003) EUID(1003) Nov 23 15:08:23 [kernel] grsec: signal 11 sent to (MozillaFirebird:8884) UID(1003) EUID(1003), parent (run-mozilla.sh:24974) UID(1003) EUID(1003) * compiler information and flags: Gentoo Base System version 1.4.3.11 Portage 2.0.49-r15 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.2, glibc-2.3.2-r8, 2.4.20-gentoo-r6) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.20-gentoo-r6 i586 Pentium MMX ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O3 -mcpu=pentium-mmx -march=pentium-mmx -funroll-loops -pipe" CHOST="i586-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/share/config /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -mcpu=pentium-mmx -march=pentium-mmx -funroll-loops -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="sandbox ccache" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://trumpetti.atm.tut.fi/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 oss apm avi crypt cups encode foomaticdb gif gpm imlib jpeg libg++ libwww mad mikmod motif mpeg ncurses nls pdflib png quicktime slang spell truetype xml2 xv zlib gdbm berkdb readline svga java sdl tcpd pam ssl perl python oggvorbis opengl mozilla -alsa -qt -kde -arts -gnome dga dvd emacs imap ipv6 joystick maildir mule pda samba sse usb X -gtk gtk2 -xmms"
If you've seen it in Mozilla, then it probably shouldn't be a Firebird bug.
