Details

As a feature request, I'm wondering if you can impliment it so that when the url locaiton bar is selected, it is autmatically highlighted. This would allow someone to easily type a new url, without the inconvencience of errasing the old manually.

You mean that when the text in the location bar is selected, then typing a letter should erase the highlighted text? It already does this. At least on linux. Assigning to Akkana and marking as an enhancement.

Well in windows in a previous build it wouldn't highlight the text. In the newer builds it highlights it once the url bar is double-clicked. Should be a single click highlight.

This would be a browser window bug (obviously you don't want this to happen for every text field -- do you?) But personally, I can't begin to tell you how much I hate the single-click highlighting that Windows 4.x does -- I always have to click twice in the url bar in order to edit a url. The Unix client doesn't do this, so I only have to click once to set the caret wherever I clicked, like a normal text field does. If we must do this, is there any chance we can put it on a pref?
