All Bookmarks and menu changes but not passwords crashed after shutdowning PC by cutting power off

After i shutdowned the PC brutally by cutting of power, all bookmarks and
changes in the Bars crashed. I surfed with Mozialla Firebird while doing this.
I did not try to reproduce the bug.
The passwords didnt remove.
I use the >German version of Mozilla Firebird.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Surf with Mozilla Firebird on any webpage
2.Cut off power
3.Try and look what's on with your bookmarks.
Actual Results:
Didn't try, hadn't time. If i have, i will try. This bugreport is eating up
enough of my time.
Expected Results:
Not changing the bookmarks and bars.

if you cut the power to a PC, files can get corrupted (which is why you see
things like scandisk/chkdsk run. and why you're not supposed to do it).
Duping against the only bug that addresses a potential fix for this, namely
maintaining a backup file that can be restored in case of corruption.
