This seems like such a straight forward thing that I, for some time, assumed
there would already be a bug report for this. But I searched and could not find
one. I'm running 1999122708 on WinNT (although I think this affects all OS's).

Actual Results:
  compress 15176 10/29/99 8:02:00 PM
  ls
      17444 10/29/99 8:03:00 PM
  tar 624064 10/29/99
8:08:00 PM

Basically the expected Result of the URL would be something like this (which is
copy and pasted from 4.70:

Up to higher level directory
  compress
14 Kb Sat Oct 30 01:45:00 1999
ls 17 Kb Sat Oct 30
01:46:00 1999
  tar 609 Kb Sat Oct 30 01:51:00 1999

A few things also, that make themselves apparent are the date/time differences
reported by the two browsers. I think I've seen a bug for that before. Alos,
does that 2 digit year for the last modified date scare any Y2K paranoias?

I think bugzilla burped and left everything assigned to nobody. assigning qa
contact to tever to try to get this bug into the flow.

verified dupe of 22320 - Description does not agree with summary. Description
is dupe of #10551 (FTP time/date data incorrect).

Ignore the time thing. This bug says that when you type in
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/bin/
there is no way to get to ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/
without actually typing that into the URL bar.
There should always be a "Up to higher level directory" link when the ftp
directory has a listing for ".."
Netscape 4.x does this.

OK, I see what you're saying. Jud, read jelwell's last comments. Looks
different than 22320.
sorry. I duped this to the wrong bug. this bug already exists (paulmac filed it)
but I can't find it.
