Closing the progress dialog will cancel a download, it only happens when in pref one chooses to
use progress dialogs instead of download manager. In my opinion, after closing the progress
dialog, the download should be active in background and visible when download manager is
opened via tools>download manager. Obviously, this is a subject for discussion, but I fell that
download manager should be the base for any downloads, even if one chooses to have progress
dialogs displayed and not download manager. Choosing progress dialogs doesn't mean that you
don't want to use the download manager. It just means (I see it this way) that after starting a
download one wants to get more details of it, not just the general info, like in download manager.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose progress dialog in downloads in prefs
2. Start any download
3. Close the window
Actual Results:
The download was canceled
Expected Results:
Just close the window, the download should still be active in background

You do realize that you can double-click an entry in download manager to get a
progress dialog with "more info" and that this progress dialog does not cancel
the download when it's close (as expected)?
In fact, the reason we have the pref is that some people do NOT want to use
download manager at all, and _do_ want their downloads to be completely handled
by the progress dialogs.
