User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031211 Firebird/0.7+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031211 Firebird/0.7+
The installer currently cannot be built if an objdir is specified in the
.mozconfig. This is inconvenient, and has aparrantly been fixed in SeaMonkey by
patches in bug 162079. Could these changes be ported to Firebird?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set an OBJDIR in your .mozconfig
2. Build Firebird
3. Try to build the installer following the directions at
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firebird/installer/build.html
Actual Results:
The build will fail immediately, with an error similar to "Warning: Remote XPI
URL not set. Using ftp://not.supplied.invalid instead! path not found:
c:\Mozillaroot\mozilla\dist" (obviously the path will vary).
Expected Results:
Successfully generate the installer.
Oops, made a patch a few hours before I read that last post :) Just spent time
making sure it actually works. (It seems to create *.js and *.template files
in inConfigFiles anyway - it looks like the Seamonkey one does that as well
though.)
Feel free to completely ignore this - think of it as a temporary workaround
until the new scripts get checked in or something.
Seems to be fixed now. I built ObjDir + MSI and it worked fine.
