I think it will be a nice if you can provide an auto update utility that can
update the current firebrid installation to the latest versions available. This
is a very common feature in most of the recent softwares even in opensource
projects like JEdit. 
 Also the added benefit is that users may not face a lot of bugs that you have
already fixed in the new release they are getting it only because they are using
an old version.

Steps to Reproduce:



Expected Results:  
Right now there is no such option and user has to re-download complete Firebird
again and have to go through the installation again.

Might be a dup of bug 214360.  Bug 214360 is more ambitious -- it includes
security hotfixes and some bug fixes in addition to new releases.
