when selecting a color from the color picker, i need to click the color
widget twice before the selected color is actually selected. tested with
2000010308 bits on MacOS 9.0.

to repro:
1. go to Preferences > Appearance > Color
2. for any of the four items (text, background, unvisited links, visited
links), click the colored widget to bring up the color picker.
3. select a color from the picker.

expected: selected color should appear in the given color widget after a single
click.

result: after the first click, nothing happens. i click the new color again,
then the color widget is finally updated.
