Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 I first noticed this with 1.6b as switching to "Disable Cookies" in the Cookies preference pane didn't actually disable cookies. It turns out that making any changes in the Cookies preference pane do not stick. Mine is permanently set to "Enable cookies for the originating web site only" which is what it was set to upon installation. This could be some sort of install bug where it makes your cookie preferences permanent... Let me know if I can provide further information that would be of help. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the "cookies" pane in Preferences. 2. Change it to anything you'd like... (disable cookies for example) 3. Click "OK" and exit preferences. 4. Surf to a cookie site... see that it didn't register the change you made. 5. Open prefs and "cookies" pane, see that it is the same as before you changed it. Actual Results: Cookies were not disabled (in my specific example and case). Expected Results: Mozilla should have disabled cookies altogether at my whim and choosing. :)
Known bug in 1.6b; fixed in current 1.6 builds. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 227612 ***
