RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 151499

People

(Reporter: rhostik, Assigned: hewitt)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20031231 Firebird/0.7+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20031231 Firebird/0.7+

The domain guessing facility can disable the "stop" button. If you don't add
".com" to the end of the address, for example "www.amazon", the app completes
the address correctly - "www.amazon.com" - but the "stop" button is disabled, as
is the "stop" option in the "View" menu. This also happens in Mozilla Suite
(with Mac and Windows 98) - see bug 151499

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.type "www.amazon" in address bar and hit RETURN
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Correct website opened in window but "stop" button was disabled.

Expected Results:
As above but with "stop" button enabled.
I see the behaviour described in the bug report using:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20040102
Firebird/0.7+

However, should this bug be closed as a dupe of bug 151499?
when bug 151499 gets fixed, if it isn't fixed in firebird, reopen.
