it would be nice if mozilla allowed you to customize your http_user_agent on a site by site basis, as some sites will only let you in if you are using win32 or MacOS. The reason for a site-by-site customization is that you would not want to lower browser statistics (and possibly cause display problems) unless necessary.

I'm not sure making the useragent vary from site to site would be a good thing. It would lead to more problems later on.
Too bad, there are tons of sites that will work in mozilla (once finished) except that the OS is reported as 'Linux' and not 'Windows 9x/NT' or 'MacOS'. Guess it will take third party patches. At least the user_agent code looks fairly straightforward so far.
